東日本大震災一周年を迎えました。
A SONG FOR JAPANは、お亡くなりになった１万５８５４人の方々の
ご冥福を心よりお祈りします。現在も行方不明の３１５５人の方々が
一日も早くご家族のもとに戻られることを願っております。 この１年間、多くの方々から日本へのご支援とたくさんのお気持ちを
いただきましたことに深く感謝いたします。
今も全国で避難生活を送っておられる３４万３９３５人の方々、
被災地で復旧・復興活動を続けておられる多くの方々が
１００％の元気と笑顔を取り戻されるまで、心のこもった演奏と
より一層のあたたかいサポートをよろしくお願い申し上げます。
One year has passed since the "3.11".
A SONG FOR JAPAN would like to send condolences
to the 153,854 victims and
wish the 3,155 missing people
to be found and return to the family as soon as possible.
Lots of thanks to everyone for his/her great support
and pray
for Japan in the past year.
Right now there are still 343,935 evacuees spread all over Japan,
and many people in Tohoku are
working very hard
on recovering or rebuilding the disaster stricken areas
that may probably take many years.
We wish to keep playing heart-warming music
and
supporting the people of Japan
until they have peace and their 100% smiles back.

March 2012 marked one year since that tsunami/earthquake that devastated the northern Japan. In response to the call to send our prayer and love to the people in Japan through music, students and professors at Northwestern State University of Louisiana, as well as many citizens of the city of Natchitoches have gathered to perform “A Song for Japan” on March 23, 2012.
With this performance with mixed choir, trumpet / horn/ trombone/ euphonium-tuba ensembles, piano, and percussion, we pray your hometown and daily life be restored as soon as possible, and peace and warmth be back to your hearts.

The Japan Association of Trombone (JAT) supports this A Song For Japan project and built a form to putchase the goods on their website. Availablefor PCs, smart phones and other mobile phones.
Mr. Patrick Sullivan from the USA sent us two of his arrangements - Trombone Duo + Windband and Trombone Quartet + Windband. Mr. Brian Herald from the USA sent us his arrangement for Saxphone Choir. Thank you very much!!

After one year of the natural disaster taken place in Japan, and while the Japanese people try to reconstruct their country and their own life affected by the tragedy, we want to add ourselves as trombonist of all over the world for a tribute to all these people that are suffering, playing " A song for Japan" (Steven Verhelst) in different and emblematic places of Madrid.

Un ano despues de la terrible catastrofe de Japon, y mientras siguen las labores de reconstruccion que pretenden rehacer la vida de tanta gente afectada, queremos sumarnos al recuerdo y al homenaje brindado por trombonistas de todo el mundo, interpretando "A Song for Japan" (Steven Verhelst) en diferentes lugares emblematicos de Madrid.

去る３月１８日に埼玉県立越谷西高校OB吹奏楽団によるチャリティコンサート2012が蒲生地区センター・公民館「パコム」３階多目的ホールにて開催されました。短い準備期間だったにもかかわらずコンサートは満席となり、陽はまた昇る(P.スパーク)やA Song For Japan(S.フェルヘルスト)などが演奏されました。また、A Song For Japanプロジェクトにご賛同くださり、当日はASFJオリジナル・ステッカーでの募金活動にご尽力くださいました。集まった83,419円の義援金は、同団によてその全額が日本赤十字社東日本大震災義援金に送られます。
On the 18th of March the Saitama Pref. Koshigaya High School OB Windband had their charity concert. Though they did not have much time after they had decided to do this project, the concert was with full audience. The program included "The Sun Will Rise Again" by Ph. Sparke and "A Song For Japan" by S. Verhelst. This group sympathizes with this A Song For Japan and took part in it by collection donation for the ASFJ stickers. It resulted 83,419 YEN, all of which will sent to the Japan Red Cross Society.

ついに完成！ 東北大震災復興応援チャリティーCD、Siempre con fe / シエンプレ・コン・フェ（新録２曲入り）が、３月１４日にEWEの通販サイト（ewe special products store）より発売されました！ http://eastworks.shop-pro.jp/
このＣＤは、この度の東日本大震災の復興に、少しでも力になれたらという想いで制作されているものです。制作、アーティスト、デザイン等に対してのギャランティは一切発生しておりません。
なお、ＣＤ一枚1,500円のうち1,000円は、被災地である宮城県亘理郡山元町の「宮城県山元町災害復興寄付金」という口座(七十七銀行 山下支店 普通5223539)に寄付させていただきます。500円は制作実費といたします。
震災数ヶ月後の７月に、SALSA SWINGOZAは仙台市内で行われた、東北ラテンミュージックフェスティバルという復興支援イベントに出演させていただきました。そのときに主催者の方々のご厚意で、メンバーが実際に目の当たりした惨状が、亘理郡 山元町だったのです。SALSA SWINGOZAのメンバーをはじめ、このCDの制作に携わった全てのアーティスト、スタッフ一同、被災地、被災者の皆様の復興を心からお祈りしています。
収録されている"A Song For Japan"はストリング・カルテット入りでゴージャスにして力強い、元気が出るサルサです。

The charity CD "Siempre con fe" was just released on the webshop site (ewe special products store) on the 14th of March!! http://eastworks.shop-pro.jp/
This CD was produced with full of thoughts to help people recover and rebuild after this catastrophe. The producers, the artists or the designers have all been volunteering to make this CD come. The price is 1,500YEN / CD. 1,000YEN will be donated to "Miyagi Prefecture Yamamoto Town Catastrophe Recovery Contribution" and 500YEN is the production cost of the CD itself. This goup Salsa Swingoza performed in one of the charity events in Sendai city, the Tohoku Latin Music Festival in July 2011, that occured just a few months after the 3.11. After the festival, the festival organizor took the members to Yamamoto Town, where everone saw the unbelievable disasters in front of their own eyes. The members of the Salsa Swingoza, all the artists and the staff would like to wish a quick recovery of the disaster stricken areas and the people living there. "A Song For Japan" on this CD is a special version with a string quartet. Gorgeous and powerful Salsa gives everyone great energy!!!

A group of five flutists from Ishikawa, Japan, the Fun Flute Friends arranged A Song For Apan for five flutes. Including a bass flute. Optional with a piccolo for the highest flute part. Also playable by five oboe ensemble.
